RHS Chelsea Flower Show
Simon had a wonderful time at Chelsea this year. Having been filmed for the Chelsea Preview Show on Sunday 18th May decorating the Natural History Museum for a very special Client's birthday, Simon was back on the BBC presenting with Nicki Chapman the first day of Chelsea, Monday 19th May, showing how colourful and attractive vegetables can be in a floral decoration.
After an exciting Wednesday afternoon on BBC Radio London's Jo Good show (more of which below), Simon and Nicki got together a second time on the Friday. On this occasion it was the turn of Steve Traffic to help out! Steve is a familiar and well loved face at Chelsea who directs the traffic. So it was appropriate that Steve's decorative vase was an upturned traffic cone! All appreciated the gorgeous florals on display, especially the three humorous "traffic lights" Simon had created: green, amber and red.
Simon was asked by the RHS to create a decorative floral feature for the Floral Art Marquee entrance. The design was modelled upon this year's Show Logo and is incredible from afar but the colour and texture must be viewed at close range too - stunning!
